Larry Dicus has a passion to serve others through Lions.  

Prior to becoming Director, Larry served as Council Chair (CEO) of MD4 Lions of California for the Lions year 2010-2011.  He served as District Governor for District 4-L2 in 2009-2010 where he led the District's growth by four new Lions Clubs and the highest growth rate in over 20 years.  Larry joined Whittier Host Lions in 1996 and served as President in 2005-2006. He co-chaired WHL’s ‘Sight for Kids’ fundraising event and helped grow the event into WHLC's largest fundraiser of their year.  He served as Central Region Chair on the 4-L2 cabinet in 2006-2007. He then served as Leadership Chair in 2007-2008 before being elected as Vice District Governor in 2008.  Larry has served as President of the Lions Mobile Screening Eyemobile Unit board of directors since 2006.  He also served as director on the Lions Eye Foundation board from 2005-2009.

 

 

Larry brings executive sales management and board governance experience to Lions. 

He served on the Board of Directors for Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital (PIH) in Whittier for 12 years.  PIH is a premier regional hospital recognized for quality health care.  Larry also has over 35 years sales and executive experience in the Information Technology industry. He is currently a technology solution consultant with Heritage Global Solutions.  He spent over eight years at Cisco Systems as a Global Partner Executive where he drove development of one of Cisco’s largest global strategic alliances. As a Global Partner Executive, Larry traveled worldwide to grow and manage partner/customer relationships.  Prior to Cisco he held Vice President, Director and Manager positions at AT&T, General DataComm and Unisys/Burroughs. He earned his B.S. degree in Information Systems from Cal Poly Pomona. 

 

 

Larry is married to Jane, his wife of over 40 years

Jane is a Vice President of Investments at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Whittier. They have two married sons, Eric  and Scott. Scott and his wife live in New York City, Eric and his wife live in Long Beach.  Larry and Jane are grandparents to Sarah, age five, and Claire Ruth, born in June of last year, and Catherine Elizabeth, born in August of last year.  They are both very involved in their community, Larry with Lions and Jane with Soroptimist Club of Whittier, and as a board member at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital. They both enjoy singing in their choir at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena.
